2018 Registration is closed.
This year, Islander Lights, which takes place November 30, 5:30-8:30 PM, will include a forest of mini holiday trees decorated to represent academic areas at TAMU-CC. Departments who choose to participate will be given a 3 ft tree to decorate in a manner that reflects the content area or represents the department/discipline(s) in some way. We will provide the tree, extension cord (for lights), and a sign with your department and/or major(s) to identify your tree. Be creative and have fun – use items unique to you and your department to decorate your tree!
This will be a fun way to get involved in the festival and to give your discipline visual representation at Islander Lights, which is one of the biggest events of the year with over 1,000 in attendance. The department with the best tree will win coffee and cookies for their next department meeting. To get involved, please complete registration form at the link above by November 19.
We will deliver the undecorated tree(s) to your department.
Decorated trees need to be brought to the UC info desk by noon on November 30.
